Once you’ve downloaded your CloudCard background, add it to your video app as a custom background. You do this in the app’s own background or video effects settings.
Before you start
Create your virtual background and download the JPG to your computer.
The steps below are a guide. Video apps change their menus often, so the names may differ in your version.
Microsoft Teams
- Before joining a meeting, on the screen where you choose your camera and audio settings, open the background or video effects options. During a meeting, open More (…) and look for Video effects or Background effects.
- Choose the option to add or upload a new background.
- Select your downloaded CloudCard JPG.
- Select the new background and apply it.
Zoom
- In the Zoom desktop app, open Settings.
- Go to Background & Effects (called Virtual Background in some versions).
- Click + and choose to add an image.
- Select your downloaded CloudCard JPG. It’s applied straight away.
Google Meet
- Before joining a call, or during a call, open the visual effects or background options for your camera.
- Choose the option to upload a background image.
- Select your downloaded CloudCard JPG.
Check that it looks right
- In your own video preview, the text may look back-to-front. Most video apps mirror your self-view only; other people see your background the right way round.
- Ask someone on the call to scan your QR code to check it opens your card.
