Access, correct or delete your personal data

Your rights over the personal data CloudCard holds about you, and how to use them.

On this page

Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data CloudCard holds about you, and object to how it’s used. Many of these you can do yourself in the dashboard.

Do it yourself

  • See and correct your account details. Click your name in the top-right corner, then Edit profile. You can change your name, email address and phone number.
  • Correct what’s on your card. See Edit your card details. If a field is locked, your admin controls it. See Why some fields are locked.
  • Delete your account and data. See Delete your account.

Make a formal request

For anything you can’t do yourself, such as a copy of the personal data CloudCard holds about you or an objection to how it’s processed:

  1. Contact CloudCard’s Data Privacy Officer, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  2. Say what you’re asking for: access, correction, deletion or objection.
  3. Use the email address linked to your CloudCard account, if you have one.

CloudCard may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. This protects your data from someone pretending to be you.

You can also email [email protected] or use the contact form, and your request will be passed on.

Details captured about other people

Leads you capture belong to your organisation’s records. If someone asks you to remove their details, you can delete the lead. See Edit, download or delete a lead.
