Share your card from the app
Show your QR code, or send your card by WhatsApp, email, text or link from the CloudCard Android app.
The other person doesn’t need the app. Your card opens in their browser, or saves straight to their contacts.
Show your QR code
- Tap the Share button in the middle of the bottom bar.
- Tap Show QR code. Your screen brightens and stays on so the code is easy to scan.
- Ask the other person to point their phone camera at the code.
You can also tap the QR code on the Card tab.
Online or offline QR code
Under the full-screen code, you can choose:
- Online: “Opens your card in their browser”. This is the usual choice. It shows your full card and counts towards your views.
- Offline: “Saves your contact straight to their phone, no internet needed”. Use it when the other person has no signal. It saves your contact details only, so it doesn’t open your card or count as a view.
Both work when your own phone is offline.
Send your card
Tap the Share button, then choose:
- WhatsApp: shown if WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business is installed.
- Email or Text: opens a new message with your card link.
- Copy link: copies your card link to paste anywhere. You’ll see “Link copied.”
- More: opens your phone’s own share options.
Share by NFC
Phones with NFC also show Tap to share, or Write NFC tag on phones that can only write tags. See Share your card by NFC from the app.
If you can’t share
- “Your card is not ready to share yet.” means your organisation’s admin hasn’t finished setting up your card. Ask them to check it on the web.
- If your card has been switched off, the Card tab says “This card is deactivated.” Anyone opening your link sees a notice instead of your details. Ask your admin to reactivate it.
