Share your card by NFC from the app

Tap phones together to share your card, or write your card link onto a blank NFC sticker or card, using the Android app.

If your phone has NFC, the app can share your card when you hold your phone against someone else’s, or write your card link onto an NFC tag. The other person doesn’t need the app.

Before you start

  • NFC must be on. If it’s off, the app shows NFC is turned off. Tap Turn on NFC and switch it on in your phone’s settings.
  • If you don’t see any NFC options in the app, your phone doesn’t have NFC. Use your QR code instead.

Tap phones to share

  1. Tap the Share button in the middle of the bottom bar.
  2. Tap Tap to share. You’ll see Hold phones back to back.
  3. Hold the back of your phone against the back of theirs. Keep the screen open while you tap.
  4. When it works, you’ll see Card sent. Their phone opens your card.

Keep the screen open to share with more people, then tap Done.

Write your card onto an NFC tag

You can put your card link onto a blank or rewritable NFC sticker or card, so anyone who taps it opens your card.

  1. Tap the Share button.
  2. Tap Tap to share, then Write to an NFC tag instead. On some phones the option is called Write NFC tag.
  3. Hold the tag flat against the back of your phone and keep it still.
  4. When you see Tag ready, the tag is done. Tap Write another tag to do more.

If you see That did not work, the message underneath says why. Usually the tag is locked, too small, or moved away too soon. NTAG stickers and cards work well.
