Use the app offline

What the CloudCard Android app can do with no signal, and how leads you capture offline are saved and synced.

On this page

The app is built for conference halls and basements with poor signal. You can share your card and capture leads offline, and the app catches up when you’re back online.

Works offline

  • Your card and QR code. The app keeps a saved copy. You’ll see “Saved copy. Your card still shares while you are offline.”
  • The offline QR code, which saves your contact straight to the other person’s phone even if they have no signal. See Online or offline QR code.
  • Wallet passes and the home-screen widget you’ve already added.
  • Capturing leads (Pro and Premium). New leads and scans are saved on your phone and sent to CloudCard when you’re back online. You’ll see “Saved on this phone. It will sync when you are back online.”

Needs a connection

  • Editing your card, Preview and adding a wallet pass.
  • Your card’s reach (views and leads).
  • Changing or enriching a lead you’ve already saved, and its activity.
  • Your organisation’s brand.

Leads waiting to sync

Leads that haven’t reached CloudCard yet are listed on the Leads tab under Waiting to sync. They’re stored encrypted on your phone and sync in the background when you reconnect. Photos you scanned offline are read when they sync.

  • If one won’t sync, tap Retry.
  • To drop one you don’t need, discard it.

Your phone can hold up to 100 unsent leads. After that, connect to sync them before adding more.
