"Card limit reached"

Why you can't add another user, and how to free up a card or add more cards to your plan.

ForAdmins

On this page

Every active user with a digital card uses one card on your plan. When all your cards are in use, CloudCard won’t create another one.

What you’ll see

When you add or edit a user, a red alert at the top of the form says one of these:

  • “Card limit reached for [your organisation]. Upgrade your plan to add more cards.”
  • “Please contact CloudCard Support to add new users. Contact us at [email protected] or +27 (0) 87 822 1153.” This version appears if you pay by EFT.
  • “Email Signature seat limit reached for [your organisation]. Upgrade your plan to add more Email Signature users.” This is about Email Signature licences, not cards.

If you import users from a spreadsheet and don’t have enough cards, you’re taken to the Subscription page with “You do not have enough cards for this spreadsheet upload.” The page says “Your spreadsheet upload is paused.” and shows a Review Card Increase button.

How cards are counted

  • The Free plan includes 1 card. The Email Signature plan includes no digital cards.
  • On Pro and Premium, you have the number of cards you pay for.
  • A card counts while its user is active. Deactivated and deleted users don’t count, and nor do users with only the Email Signature role.

Fix it

Choose one:

After a card increase is paid and confirmed, you’ll see “Card increase payment confirmed” with a Manage Users button to carry on adding users. A paused spreadsheet upload continues once you have enough cards.
